Family Sessions – Three Gorges

Family is the core of the Three Gorges. Specifically, the fostering of an Outdoor Family is what makes our community unique. All of our green spaces have been built to facilitate and encourage outdoor play and exploration so kids can grow up with the benefits of dirt and rocks under their fingertips instead of screens.

In reality, it’s sometimes difficult to find a welcoming public climbing area where families can feel free to be families with all of the messes, tears, and chaos that come with the territory. To this end, every second Saturday of the month, we are inviting climbing families out to experience our boulderfields and meetup for a climbing playdate for all ages. There are no fees and no strings attached – all you need to do is use the form below to sign up and fill out an E-waiver and have fun!

Acknowledgement of Rules & Regulations and Waiver of Liability *

I have read and agree to the Rules and Waiver of Liability for my entire family. Rules and Regulations : Three Gorges Farms LLC. You are entering PRVIATE PROPERTY. Do NOT enter the property if you are unwilling to comply with the following rules: Everyone entering the property must first sign a waiver of liability before engaging in any outdoor activity (including minors via guardian). Family Sessions is not a rock climbing instruction course and not child care. All children must be attended and monitored by parents at all times. NO DOGS ALLOWED. Guests are permitted on the property during EVENT HOURS ONLY. DO NOT enter the property outside of event hours. Event hours are from 9-4 PM. Waiver of Liability PARTICIPANT AGREEMENT, RELEASE AND ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF RISK FOR Three Gorges Farms LLC 'Family Sessions' Bouldering. 1. I acknowledge that Rock Climbing entails known and unanticipated risks which could result in physical or emotional injury, paralysis, death, or damage to myself, to property, or to third parties. I understand that such risks cannot be eliminated without jeopardizing the essential qualities of the activity. The risks include, among other things: • The hazards of walking on uneven terrain; • Being struck by rockfall, tree fall, or other objects dislodged or thrown from above; • The use of safety ropes and equipment, including equipment failure; • The risks of falling while climbing; • The risks of exposure to poison ivy, or exposure to insect bites or bee stings, or other injuries inflicted by animals, insects, reptiles, or plants; • The potential for human error, by guides or others, which causes the safety system to fail; • My own physical condition, and the physical exertion associated with this activity. 2. I expressly agree and promise to accept and assume all of the risks existing in this activity. My participation in this activity is purely voluntary, and I elect to participate in spite of the risks. 3. I hereby voluntarily release, forever discharge, and agree to indemnify and hold harmless Three Gorges Farms LLC from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action, which are in any way connected with my participation in this activity or my use of Three Gorges Farms LLC equipment or facilities, including any such claims which allege negligent acts or omissions of Three Gorges Farms LLC. 4. Should Three Gorges Farms LLC or anyone acting on their behalf, be required to incur attorney's fees and costs to enforce this agreement, I agree to indemnify and hold them harmless for all such fees and costs. 5. I certify that I have adequate insurance to cover any injury or damage I may cause or suffer while participating, or else I agree to bear the costs of such injury or damage myself. I further certify that I have no medical or physical conditions which could interfere with my safety in this activity, or else I am willing to assume - and bear the costs of - all risks that may be created, directly or indirectly, by any such condition. 6. In the event that I file a lawsuit against Three Gorges Farms LLC, I agree to do so solely in the state o f Tennessee, and I further agree that the state shall apply in that action without regard to the conflict of law rules of that state. 7. I agree that if any portion of this agreement is found to be void or unenforceable, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect. By signing this document, I acknowledge that if anyone is hurt or property is damaged during my participation in this activity, I may be found by a court of law to have waived my right to maintain a lawsuit against Three Gorges Farms LLC on the basis of any claim from which I have released them herein. I have had sufficient opportunity to read this entire document. I have read and understood it, and I agree to be bound by its terms. PARENT'S OR GUARDIAN'S ADDITIONAL INDEMNIFICATION (Must be completed for participants under the age of 18) In consideration of the minors listed above being permitted by Three Gorges Farms LLC,to participate in its activities and to use its equipment and facilities, I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Three Gorges Farms LLC , from any and all Claims which are brought by, or on behalf of Minor, and which are in any way connected with such use of participation by Minor. In consideration of the services of Three Gorges Farms LLC, and their agents, owners, officers, volunteers, participants, employees, and all other entities acting in any capacity on their behalf (hereinafter collectively referred to as Three Gorges Farms LLC, I hereby agree to release and discharge Three Gorges Farms LLC on behalf of myself, my children, my parents, my heirs, assigns, personal representative and estate as follows:

Navigate to 11024 which is our entrance and take a right hand turn on a new gravel road leading up through our entry boulderfield and then to the top of the mountain and a parking on the right by an overlook. This is the meeting area.
